Airport Commission Welcomes New Member
Welcome Richard McIntyre, appointed by the Lexington County Legislative Delegation, as the newest member to the Richland-Lexington Airport Commission.
Mr. McIntyre serves as Market President for First Reliance Bank in Lexington. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, he has over 23 years in the banking industry including nearly 10 years with First Reliance Bank.
Not a stranger to community service, Mr. McIntyre has served on numerous boards and committees in the Columbia and Lexington communities including The Indian Waters Council of Boy Scouts America Executive and Advisory Board and the Riverbanks Zoo Foundation Board of Directors. He is also a 20-year member of the Lexington Rotary Club and the Lexington Chamber of Commerce.
On his appointment to the Commission, Mr. McIntyre said, “The Columbia Metropolitan Airport is a resource to this community that we can all be proud of and I’m pleased to have been given the opportunity to be a part of the Richland-Lexington Airport District.”
The Richland-Lexington Airport Commission serves as the governing body of the Richland-Lexington Airport District, a political sub-division of the State of South Carolina. It is composed of five members from Richland and Lexington Counties each and two from the City of Columbia.
