CAE Now Accepting Bids For Aircraft Rescue And Fire Fighting Station

The RICHLAND-LEXINGTON AIRPORT DISTRICT will receive sealed proposals for the AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND FIRE FIGHTING (ARFF) STATION, FAA AIP Project No. 3-45-0018-042-04, at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, Administrative Building Conference Room, 125-A Summer Lake Drive, West Columbia, South Carolina, 29170, ATTN: Mr. Francis Murray, Manager of Planning and Development until 10:00 A.M. EDT, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after stated time will not be accepted.

 

SCOPE OF WORK

The work consists of construction of a new ARFF building of approximately 18,300 square feet including concrete slabs and foundations, load bearing concrete masonry, steel and metal roof framing, membrane roofing, insulated wall panel system, masonry, interior finishes, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems and all other items for a complete and working building. Site work includes grading, drainage, vehicle and airfield paving, fencing, utilities, lighting, and demolition of the existing ARFF building of approximately 10,200 square feet.

 

PRE-BID CONFERENCE

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted in the Columbia Metropolitan Airport Administrative Building Conference Room, 125-A Summer Lake Drive, West Columbia, South Carolina, 29170 at 10:00 A.M. EDT on Tuesday, February 4, 2014.
